Our Story: From Restaurant to Bed and Breakfast in Florence

We are Filippo and Francesco Lomanno. Initially, we owned a restaurant launched by our father, who sadly passed away months after its opening. For five years, we maintained the restaurant before selling it to embark on this new journey. Joining us is Lucrezia, who, after living in London and Paris, returned to Italy, met, and fell in love with Filippo. They started by renting a room to tourists, sharing insider tips for experiencing the city at its best.

A life-changing event led us to pursue our fathers’ dreams. Ferdinando Lomanno, a renowned architect, envisioned a future as a B&B for the house in Via della Colonna. Rodolfo de Bernart, a famous family therapist, foresaw a future in tourism for Lucrezia, recognizing her passion for hospitality. Despite the challenges of COVID-19 in 2020, we persevered with construction and renovations. By 2021, “Secret Garden Firenze” was born, a bed and breakfast in Florence with a unique 200 sq m garden, a green oasis in the city where guests can relax and enjoy special experiences.
